Well, Regan's planned evening went according to plan (just at 10:00 at night). :) She set up a table with a table cloth and candles. I heated up dinner and she brought it upstairs to the table. Yes, we ate in the "media room". Ha! I had already had dinner so I ate chocolate chip cookies and had milk. Once Nathan got home the girls escorted him upstairs and showed him their surprise. :) After we ate Regan wanted us to dance, so Regan and Kennedy got the first dances and I had the last. :) It was a great anniversary. I told Regan she should consider being an event planner. She did a great job!! (It was not a peaceful, romantic dinner though. Kennedy and Regan dictated what we were to do all while crawling under the table, dimming and brightening the lights, getting in our laps, etc.) I guess that's the way anniversaries are with kiddos! Gotta love it!!

Happy 7th Anniversary!
Today Nathan and I have been married for 7 years! We have been through A LOT in our short seven years. I am so glad that I have been through it with him. He is such an amazing man, husband, and father! He always puts his family first and makes sure that we are taken care of, no matter what it takes. I love him for that! I have always said that as crazy as he is and how he acts like such a kid at times, that will be what keeps us young!
Last night we were upstairs playing and Regan said you should turn the lights off and be romantic. Nathan asked her what romantic meant. He said like kissing and hugging. She said, yea, and dancing. So, she has come up with this elaborate plan for our anniversary tonight. (I"ll spill the beans and post pictures tomorrow.) I mean, I had to tell her to go to sleep last night and we'll get up in the morning and work on it. She is so much like me that she said, "We need to make a list." So, we woke up bright and early this morning and made a list of what we needed to do to get ready for tonight. So, we were going to do this after breakfast. Well, Nathan called. He put me in panic mode. He said, I wasn't going to tell you this because I didn't know how bad it was until now. Well, a guy that he works with son has the swine flu. So, they told him to stay home this whole week until all of the gestation period is over so he doesn't contaminate anyone else (especially me). So, that means that he will be working until 9:00 every night and not getting home until 10:00pm and not having a day off!!! Fun, but we'll be well. Better to be safe than sorry. So, I had to break the news to Regan. She was heartbroken. I told her we could still have our plan, it would just be late at night. She is fine with that now. She is ready to get it all together--right now! :) I'll post pictures tomorrow!

VBS 2009
This was Regan's first year to get to participate in the big VBS. I led her group. The theme was Crocodile Dock. It was so awesome getting to see her little face with each new thing! I loved every minute of it! (I was exhausted by the end of the week, but it was well worth it!) In my group were two family friends, two cousins, Regan, and another little boy. They were all so good and loved it, especially when the children's pastor brought out two REAL alligators! It took 4 grown men to carry out the momma alligator! Crazy! The kids were in awe! So were the parents!

It's still a BOY!!
We had a dr. appt. today with a sonogram. He is still a boy! He is very active--yea!! Everything look really good. The sonographer says that he weighs (today) 3/4 of a pound. Such a little guy. :) We have come up with a name first and middle. Of course, we had to stick with a President's name, so his first name is Grant. For his middle name I wanted to use a "C" initial in honor of Carter. So, his name is: Grant Canon Purnell. (Maybe he'll be a professional baseball pitcher someday with the name Canon.) :) I go back in 4 weeks to do my diabetes testing and then I will go every 4 weeks for a while having a sono each month. Yea! Towards the end they will be monitoring me and the baby more and more. Everything is good. Just keep praying!

George!!!
Nathan and I were so blessed to be able to go see George Strait in concert on Saturday night at the new Cowboys Stadium. It was so amazing!! The stadium itself was incredible!
This is a picture of the roof opening. It is kind of hard to see since it was already dark outside.
And this is the man himself, GEORGE STRAIT!!!! :)Posted by The Purnell Family at 10:03 AM 0 comments

She's a FIRST GRADER!!!
Today was Regan's last day of kindergarten. I just want her to stay in Mrs. Payne's class forever. :) Since it was the last day the kids got to bring a board game that they wanted to play. Also, they had a picnic with hot dogs, chips, and drinks. It was so fun! They loved it! I was going to take a picture of her being walked to the car on her last day, but I was trying to hold my emotions together so much that I forgot about it. I think her teacher was trying to hold her emotions as well as she put Regan in the car. I told her teacher the other day that we just might have to stalk her the rest of her life. :) Ha!
We love Mrs. Payne-amazing woman, wife, mom, and TEACHER!!!

Funny Words
Kennedy is getting better at vocabulary, but somethings still aren't there yet. For example, one day I was sneezing continuously and she said, "Mom are you sneezing because of your allerjesus?" So cute. Yes, Jesus makes me sneeze. :) HA!
(There is another one that she says, but I can't remember right now. I'll post when I do remember.)

Awards Ceremony/Book Signing/Slideshow
Yesterday was a tough day, and I'm sure Thursday is going to be worse. Regan had her kindergarten awards ceremony. They all dressed in their Sunday best. The boys had on ties and the girls had on their beautiful dresses. We walked in to the cafeteria where the program was, and as we did I looked up on the screen to see my sweet Regan's face and the song that was playing was, "Let Them Be Little". I lost it right there! I couldn't hold it together. It just breaks my heart to think that she is growing so fast, and loving it! :) I know that's how it's supposed to be, but I want them all to stay little forever! :) So, after I composed myself the kids came in and sang songs and accepted their awards. (I am going to try to figure out how to upload video and slide show..we'll see if that happens of not.) Afterward, we got to go back to the classroom for refreshments and a book signing. Regan had made a book and published it. So, what else to do but sign it. She said that Kennedy was "Coocoo" in her book. I was 30. And Aunt Lindsay was 20!!! Yea right! It was such a great time, but I am so sad that it is coming to an end. Mrs. Payne has been the absolute best teacher in the entire world! Regan and I both had a breakdown last night because we don't want to leave Mrs. Payne. I am sure I will have another moment tomorrow when school is over and she is an official first grader!
