Spring Break Rundown...

We had a very low key spring break this year. When I say low key that's exactly what I mean. It even made my laundry load on Monday less (probably because we were mainly in pjs). :)

Monday:
the usual...LAUNDRY day! :) Regan did have a friend spend the night and they made brownies in the Easy Bake Oven. Such an exciting evening! :)
Tuesday:
Nathan dropped the dogs off at the groomers. We (the girls and little man) took our time getting up and around. After we were all dressed and ready to go (around 1:00 or so) we headed to the library to check out some books and movies. Then, we headed over to McDonald's to grab some lunch and eat it on the way to pick up the dogs from the groomers. Then, we came home and relaxed until we went to gymnastics.

(I told you it was low key! ;))

Wedensday:
Oh! The FUN day! We were up bright and early so we could be at the doctor's office at 8:00am for our first appointment! Yay!! All three kiddos had to get shots. The girls had to finish a series and little man had to get his 4 month check up (a month late). Then, if that wasn't fun enough, ALL 5 of us took ALL 3 dogs to the vet for their shots! It was quite a circus. The ladies just laughed along with us. That night we took dinner to a friend who had just had a baby.
On a side note when we got up we all had to dress in green since it was St. Patrick's Day. Here is Nathan's attire: his green cowboy boots, green leafed swim trunks, and a green polo style shirt tucked in to his swim trunks. (The picture is not working. I'll keep trying because you have to see it!) No, he did not wear that, but he did give us a good laugh. :)

Thursday:
We were up again early for another fun morning at a doctor's office. This time it was the DENTIST!! Kennedy kept telling me she was going to be "brathe" (a.k.a. brave). :) She did very good. We'll see how she does when I take her back in May to have a cavity filled, a crown put on, and a possible tooth extraction! (She busted her front tooth a month or so ago on the hardwood floors. When I say busted, I mean when she hit the floor it bent backwards toward her throat. So, they might have to pull it.) Then we headed to a friends' house to play.
Friday:
Each of the girls had a play date. Then, we ran errands. Nathan came home, we cooked out, and had several games of ping pong. (Yes, we now own a ping pong table.) :)
Saturday:
You know I thought that Wednesday, the day with all kids and all dogs getting shots was bad, but it was NOTHING compared to this day. Let me just say a few words....Chuck E. Cheese birthday party from 2-4; weather-COLD/windy. Need I say anything else!!!
Now we are back in the swing of things...almost. :) It's taking us a while to get going. :)
**A quick note....I will find out in the next few weeks if I got into nursing school or not. I am so excited! They said they would be mailing out letters by the end of the month...well, that's next week. So, y'all just say some prayers that God will will be done. I am okay with it either way.

Rollin', rolllin', rollin'...and more!

Grant is now 5 months old! Crazy, I know!! His personality shines more and more everyday! I love it! So, here is what he is doing:

He has moved on from cereal to solid baby food. Today he tried green beans and I think he liked them! :)
He is now out of the baby bathtub and in the big bathtub with a chair for support. He is rolling over!! If you lie him on his back and look at something the second you look back he has already rolled over. He gets mad because he can't go anywhere. I am sure that crawling will be coming soon! :)

He talks and loves to smile. He gets bashful. It's so funny!
He tries grabbing for everything!! If he is in your arms and you are carrying something, he will hold on to it and be so content. It is so funny looking!

Time if flying by! If only I could find a way to freeze it!

Pre-K Rodeo

Kennedy's Pre-K class had been studying about Texas and the rodeo. So, on Friday (a few Fridays ago--I'm behind) they all dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls for their rodeo. (Kennedy has a real cute bandanna dress but chose to wear a zebra outfit instead.) Her cowgirl style! :) Ha!

They had their rodeo activities: horseshoes, potato sack races, horse races (using stick horses), "roping" the bull (throwing a hula hoop around its horns), and place the star on Rowdy the Rodeo Rat. After all the hard work of the rodeo they got to relax with a drink and some trail mix. :) Such a prefect rodeo!

Winter Jam

We saw that Winter Jam was coming to Dallas and knew that we had to go. We went to the Winter Jam in Little Rock, and knew it would be a blast. So, I got a sitter for Grant and we took the girls. We met up with our Life Group (a.k.a. ABF...a.k.a. Sunday School). :) Third Day was the big act of the night. By the time they came on (about 10pm) everyone was exhausted so we only stayed for a few songs and then left. It was a great time though! Regan and Hannah
The girls jamming out with Teonna! :)
Gavin & Amy (baby Parker is in the belly) :)
