M.V.P.

Regan is M.V.P. "Most Valuable Person" (student of the week) this week. What does that mean? Well, she got to make a poster telling all about her.
Then, today she gets to bring home the class mascot, Hank the Husky. He will be spending two nights with the family. We are going to record his adventures on the class blog. Then, on Friday, she can take something for show and tell. Plus, she gets to sit at the M.V.P. desk, run errands for Mrs. P, be the line leader, pass out papers, etc. Regan is so excited!! (Now Kennedy wants to know when it's her turn at her school.)

Spring Soccer

Regan is officially registered for spring soccer. She is so excited about it! I am glad that she wants to do this. We will be playing with two of her very dear friends as well, AlyeBeth and Hannah. The games start March 28th. So, if you want to be put on the email for her game schedule, let me know and I'll send it when I get it. Go team!!!

Family Night

Nathan got off work EARLY last night and we took the girls to the movie. We went to see Bedtime Stories. It was such a good movie! It was clean and just a great movie! Nathan and I and the girls laughed so hard...it was great!!! Then we took the girls to a good Mexican food restaurant at The Harbor. I just love family night!!

Registration Madness

I went to register for my ONE class that I need to apply to the nursing program. I was not able to register on line because I did not have a GPA at the school. Well, I didn't have a GPA because I was taking a class. (So backwoods!) Anyway. I had to stand in the fun line for about an hour. All the while, I get to hear, "Attention! Attention! The following classes have been closed." The guy then posts the classes on the overhead. So, I am looking at the overheard and I see that ALL microbiology classes are closed. Two of the A & P I are closed, history, Biology, etc. Well, I start looking through my schedule to see what will work. I get up to the lady to register and I have to register for A & P I on Tuesdays from 4:20-9:40!!!!! CRAZY!! I call Nathan he says we'll figure it out since it's the ONE class I have to have ! So, I go to have it put in the computer and the guy tells me the class is closed I would have to go back to the lady and find another class. I guess he could see the look of defeat in my eyes and he told me to hold on and he made a phone call. Whomever he called said that I could be put in the class for that time. YEA!!!!! So, that's what this semester looks like. INSANE!!! We'll make it work...we always do. :)

Crazy Hat Day!

Today was "Crazy Hat Day!" at Kennedy's school. She looked so cute!!! (Her hat isn't real crazy, but she was too cute not to share.) :)

We are all doing good. I go register tomorrow for A & P I. Just pray there is a spot available. We/I am getting into a routine of working nights and still being a stay at home mom. I love what I am doing! I get to see some really cool stuff. I got to see them put in a chest tube the other day! I know that grosses some people out, but it was AWESOME!! The nurses are great as well. They are very good at explaining and teaching me about what is going on and the symptoms and treatments. I LOVE IT!! I have even thought about working in the trauma ICU once I'm finished with school. We'll have to see where God wants to put me. He may still want me in L&D. We'll see.

Friday Night, Family Night

We have been in the house all week due to one thing or another, so when Nathan got off work on Friday night I wanted to get out of the house. We decided to take the girls bowling. There is this new place in town that has bowling, rock climbing, an arcade, bumper cars, a restaurant, and a bar. It was such a neat place. Since it was going to take about an hour or more to get a bowling lane, we sat down and ate at the restaurant. Such GREAT food! After eating we hit the bowling lanes! We all had a blast. I apparently have not bowled in a long time. Both Regan and Kennedy beat me....both games! Pathetic! Nathan and I decided that we would have Friday Night, Family Night every Friday. Good times!

Ringing in the New Year with style

Since our 2008 was HORRIBLE, I hope that the ringing in of 2009 is being used as reverse psychology on us. For 2009 we rang in the new year with style. Nathan stayed home with Regan while she had a stomach bug and Kennedy was asleep before midnight. I on the other hand had great fun! I was giving baths, checking sugar, doing all the lovely things my job in tales for my 2009 arrival. Maybe this will be a better year...it's gotta be! I did read a verse from my blog the other day that just hit home.

Isaiah 43:16, 18-19

16 That is what the Lord says-
he who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters
18 "Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
19 See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.

So, we have made it through the the sea and I am so ready to see what God has "springing up", and the path He is making through our desert.
