Here is the email I got from my mom today:
Hey friends and family!!
I just talked to the doctor, and she told me a lot of stuff that I
couldn't quite grasp at the moment because I was in the middle of class,
but she did say that what I have (CLL), she does not feel needs to be
treated right now...that it is in a "watch and wait" mode. I am still
going to my appointment with her next week for more details and answers
to questions that I have. Amen and thank you for prayers!!! Life
tastes so good right now!!!
Thank you all so much for your prayers! Just keep praying nothing ever has to be treated! Yeah!!!
Love y'all!

Metal Door + Kennedy = ER
Today I was all pumped. It was going to be my first day to watch Regan's soccer game (since I have been in meetings every Saturday since she started). So, we go to Hunter's game and then the G family was going to come to our game. Well, I got Regan changed into her soccer gear and took everyone to the bathroom so we wouldn't have to go during the game. So, Hannah and Regan left the bathroom and when Kennedy finished she was trying to walk out the door. Well, there was a lady that was walking in. The bottom corner of the metal door sliced her toe open. Blood everywhere: all over the floor, soaked her flip flop, all over me. Greatness! Thank goodness Tara was there. David took the rest of the kids to Regan's game and Tara and I headed to the ER. Kennedy screamed the whole way there, the whole time there, and then fell asleep while there. They gave her some Motrin and she was a little better. One lady came in to do paperwork and Kennedy asked her, "Are you going to make me sick?" We all laughed. (No, she just made mommy sick when we left with the bill.) :) Anyway, they x-rayed her foot--no broken bones. Then they cleaned it up to see if she needed stitches. No stitches, just dermabond. They just glued it shut. So, after that episode we went to McDonald's played hard, went home and took a shower, and took a nap.
Meanwhile, Regan played very well. The other team didn't have enough players so Regan and AlyeBeth went and played for their team. They received the Christ Like award today. So cool!
Maybe next Saturday I'll get to see Regan's game. (Did I just jinx myself?)

7*5*2
On Sunday we went to church as we always do. Having a good day we walked in and thought it'd be another great service. When we got there all of the staff were wearing these shirts. They were tan shirts with light blue wings and a cross. My heart lept because it looked almost like Nathan's tatoo. So, we are in the service, sing a song, and then here come the waterworks...it's baby dedication. How crazy for them to have baby dedication on the day they are wearing the shirts that look just like the tattoo Nathan has. Crazy!! So, I think I cried all service long (uncontrollably at several points). Then, Steve got up there and preached the message. It, as always, was such a good message. It was a message about prayer. The 7*5*2 represents that we need to: Pray for our family 7 days a week. Pray with your family 5 days a week. And pray with just your spounse at lest 2 times a week. We found that marriags that have a prayerful relationship (meaning the couple prays together), that out of those marriages less than 1% end in divorce. AMAZING!!! So, Nathan and I have made a commitment to pray 7*5*2. I ask that if you are in need of prayer, anything small, anything big that you will email me and I will put you in my journal to pray for you. It will be stricktly confidential. I just want to be a good friend and pray for you. The power of prayer is AMAZING!! I have felt it for 7 months now and I thank you for that.
On the note of prayer, I am once again needing some. My mom had my sister and I over last night. She called a meeting so to speak. We had never been called to a meeting so we were betting on why we were there. We guessed that she won the lottery, that she was moving, etc. What we didn't guess was what she told us. On Thursday of last week my mom was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, otherwise known as CLL. The definition for CLL is: A slow-growing type of leukemia (blood cancer) in which too many lymphoblasts (immature white blood cells) are found in the blood and bone marrow. On Monday she is going for a bone marrow biopsy. They will take her bone marrow and run some tests to see how far along this is. There are 5 stages; stage 0 being the slowest growing, to stage 5 the fastest growing. On October 7th she will get her results of the test and we will go from there. So, I ask that you pray for these things specifically:
*that my mom and family will find comfort in the days to come
*that my mom and family will find strength in the days to come
*that when she gets her test results back that she is Stage 0
*that these doctors will have the wisdom they need to treat my mom
*(hard one to write, but needs to be prayed for) that God will find a way to
use this to glorify His kingdom
I will let you know as I know on the results. I have hope in the Lord. My favorite verse is Isaiah 40:28-31....look it up. Love to all

Regan had her first soccer game on Saturday, September 6th. (I was not there because I, of course, had a meeting...go figure). She did very well. She scored a goal and blocked several others. GOOD JOB, REGAN!!

The Joys of Sunday
I know, I know. It's been a while since I have blogged. Between all of the meetings, work, getting Regan's homework done, getting ready for school, and the many other things I do, I am tired at the end of the day. So, I had enough energy...and time tonihgt so I thought I'd blog.
On Sunday we went to church, had a Sunday school pizza party, and then came home and did our most favorite thing there is to do.....cleaned out the garage. :) Ha! After the fun rain that we had on Saturday and the cold winter (another HA!) approaching, I just felt that we neede dit cleaned out so I could park in there. :) The girls were so much help!

Crazy Madness!
That should have been my middle name! :) I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. A lot has been going on. Regan had her first soccer game on Saturday. She scored a goal and blocked several others from the other team. Maybe she'll be on the Women's US Soccer Team someday! :) While she was having her first soccer game I was stuck in a FUN, FUN, FUN meeting from 9-4 (and I have two more Saturdays to go). Then, tonight I had a meeting from 3-7. I am so meetinged out it's not even funny!
The exciting news.....I am going back to school. Yes, I am. I am going back to get my nursing degree so I can work Labor and Delivery. I am so pumped. I am going to go talk to the school on Wednesday of next week to see what I need to have. I can take all my prerequisites on line, which I'll start doing this semester. I will have to get those out of the way and then I will apply this summer (2009) for the Spring 2010 admission. I will know something in October (2009). I know that is a long time before I know something, but there is so much to do between now and then. I know I have to have three prerequisite classes, plus take my nursing exam, plus get a physical, shot records together. All the fun stuff. SO, I just ask that you pray once my application is submitted that I will be admitted. Nursing is a hard school to get into. I ask that you pray that that spot will just be open and waiting one me. I am so pumped!!! I should have done this the first go around.
I'll post more once I talk to admissions. Have a great week! No more meetings for me until Saturday!! :)
