Rainy Soccer Season

Well, we finished our soccer season today. I really don't know that we ever got started. With all the rain this season we could only play 3 games. We had a make up game but it got rained out. I really don't think the kids minded at all. They were just happy when they could put on their jerseys and soccer gear. We did have a team party today. We all met up at CiCi's Pizza and ate and played in the "arcade". They each had cute soccer ball cupcakes (www.babycakesbyangie.blogspot.com). They loved them! We will tray again in the fall. I am quite sure the fall won't have this much rain. If we do, we might need to consider building an ark.

(Regan's request for a hot pink soccer ball. Goes along with the Pink Panther team name.)

I got an A in my Anatomy & Physiology class! Yea! I am pumped and glad that it's over! :)

Mother's Day

We had a GREAT Mother's Day! We were a bunch of bums! We skipped out on church. We laid around, watched tv, and tried to take naps. Nathan got up and went and got La Madeline for me. I think my all time favorite! :) The girls made sweet gifts for me. Kennedy made her hand print and Regan made a ring holder. Nathan got me an apron I had asked for. He even had it monogrammed! It is so cute! We gave each of the moms a pot for Mother's Day with either their last name or Nana or Mims on it. Here are the girls next to my mom's pot. You can go to http://www.dixiebellegifts.com/ to order one for yourself. I had to. :) I hope you all had a great Mother's Day!

It's A.......

Yesterday a friend of mine who works at a dr. office did an ultrasound on me. We were so anxious on finding out the sex of this baby. She so graciously saved our curiosity. We took the girls with us, which was an experience within itself. They were so excited to see the baby move...and so was I.

Can you tell what it is? Look closely. :)

IT'S A BOY!! We know his first name is Grant, but we haven't quite nailed down a middle name. At first we thought it was a girl. I guess he had his legs crossed. After not believing that I saw the boy parts without a doubt. :) So, yesterday was quite the emotional day. A lot of excitement and sadness wrapped into one. I guess there is more of that to come.

Just continue to pray for my sanity and for a happy healthy baby that we can bring home and love on.

Mother's Day Luncheon

Yesterday I went to Kennedy's school for a Mother's Day Luncheon. It was so sweet. When I walked to the door Kennedy was there to greet me and escort me to our table. At the table was the cutest place mat with her hand prints on it. There was also a picture in a one of a kind painted picture frame. The teachers served our drinks and then we had wonderful spaghetti and dessert. It was such a special time. Before it was over they gave us a pot holder with their names on it and a soon. Then, the best part is they gave us a book. In the book it as what each child's favorite thing was that mom cooked, and how she cooked it. Kennedy said hers was mac and cheese, and she said how to cook it. Very funny! Then they asked them several questions: how old are you, what is your favorite color, etc. They asked them what does their mom smell like. What was Kennedy's response? It wasn't like flowers, perfume, soap. It was doo doo! Yes, doo doo! Thanks and Happy Mother's Day to all!
(pictures aren't posting...will try later.)

Train Ride

They are always doing fun things at Kennedy's school. Last week they got to take a "train ride". The kids were so excited (even though it was only a venture through the parking lot). They loved it!

Need a little help...

For all of you crafty people out there, and people who aren't so crafty, but know where to shop....this is for you! :) I am needing some ideas for teacher gifts. Any help would be appreciated!

Pool or Pond?

This morning as I was taking Regan to school we saw some ducks in our neighbors yard. We slowed down to look at them. They were quite funny just waddling through the yard. Well, later on in the morning I was doing laundry and studying while Kennedy was watching tv beside me on the couch. I looked out the window and the ducks were in our pool! It was crazy! It was like they were supposed to be there. They stayed for quite some time, even after I went out there to "shoo!" them away. Well, that didn't work out. Finally, I let the dogs out and they were so intrigued by them. The ducks at the time were on the side of the pool, but quickly flapped their wings and got in. The funniest thing was that you could here the ducks "talking"/quacking and then they both together flew away. It was pretty cool! I guess we'll have more encounters like that. I just hope the snakes stay at the lake and don't slither their way up here!

Happy Birthday to Us!!

Since there are so many summer birthdays, Kennedy's class had a birthday celebration for them. Kennedy's birthday is in the summer. All she kept saying was that it was her birthday party at school for her. It was a great party! There were cookies, balloons, and gifts (sand buckets filled with coloring books, colors, bubbles, jump rope, and candy). The teachers are so good. They took a picture and made a cute placemat out of it for us to have as a keep sake. Kennedy enjoyed HER birthday party! :)

It's been a while...and a lot has happened!

Well, I feel like my life is just now settling back down. (Whatever that means.) I will back up to where I last left off on our trip to Rebel Hill Ranch.

Spring Soccer
Well, Regan is playing soccer again. They did not have a coach, so a girlfriend of mine and myself volunteered. Neither one of us had ever played soccer, nor do we know anything about it. :) We are crazy! :) After sending out a desperate plea message to our team, one of our dads is actually the head coach and does the practices and games. Tara and I just assist with the administrative work. It is going well so far. The season is not over yet. :) We have actually only played one game due to all this crazy weather.

Pizza Night and Art Show
Kennedy's school had a family fun event one Friday night. They did a silent auction to raise money for a charity in our town that helps out moms and children who come from abused families. We had pizza and watched a slide show of the kids through the year. We also got to see the great artwork displayed that the kids had made. It was so fun! Kennedy loved showing off her art work.

We have moved!
Yes, again! People think we're crazy, and we are. We now own a home in our hometown. We are so excited to be in and be settled. It was a foreclosure so there are still some things to be done. But we're in! :)

Easter Parties and Easter

On Hold
The first weekend in April I quite working at the hospital. With Nathan working about 80 hours a week, me working full time, going to school, etc. it is just too much for us. So, I am back to being a stay at home mom, which I love! :) On that note, I will be postponing nursing school for a bit. I am finishing my Anatomy and Physiology class in a couple of weeks. It has been a very exciting class. I do know I still want to go into nursing. I do know that I don't want to work nights. :) I have even thought about being a school nurse so I can be with my kiddos. We'll see. I thought I had it all figured out...I guess God has different plans sometimes.

10.09.09
Besides this being Nathan's birthday, what significance is this date? Well, it is the day that I will be induced to deliver our 4th baby. :) We are 13 weeks today. Everything looks good. We have had several sonograms. We had our most recent one on Tuesday. The baby has all the arms, legs, fingers, and toes. The baby has all four chambers of the heart. The heartbeat is good. Just continue to pray for a healthy baby and a happy healthy outcome. :) The only bad thing is I get to give myself two shots a day for a blood clotting disorder I found out I had. Fun, fun, fun! I will gladly do it to have a new bundle of joy! Nathan has claimed that we aren't telling the sex of the baby. We'll see how well that works out....
That is all I have for now. It doesn't look like we've been so busy on paper--but we have! :) Until next time!
