Need a little help...

For all of you crafty people out there, and people who aren't so crafty, but know where to shop....this is for you! :) I am needing some ideas for teacher gifts. Any help would be appreciated!

Pool or Pond?

This morning as I was taking Regan to school we saw some ducks in our neighbors yard. We slowed down to look at them. They were quite funny just waddling through the yard. Well, later on in the morning I was doing laundry and studying while Kennedy was watching tv beside me on the couch. I looked out the window and the ducks were in our pool! It was crazy! It was like they were supposed to be there. They stayed for quite some time, even after I went out there to "shoo!" them away. Well, that didn't work out. Finally, I let the dogs out and they were so intrigued by them. The ducks at the time were on the side of the pool, but quickly flapped their wings and got in. The funniest thing was that you could here the ducks "talking"/quacking and then they both together flew away. It was pretty cool! I guess we'll have more encounters like that. I just hope the snakes stay at the lake and don't slither their way up here!

Happy Birthday to Us!!

Since there are so many summer birthdays, Kennedy's class had a birthday celebration for them. Kennedy's birthday is in the summer. All she kept saying was that it was her birthday party at school for her. It was a great party! There were cookies, balloons, and gifts (sand buckets filled with coloring books, colors, bubbles, jump rope, and candy). The teachers are so good. They took a picture and made a cute placemat out of it for us to have as a keep sake. Kennedy enjoyed HER birthday party! :)

It's been a while...and a lot has happened!

Well, I feel like my life is just now settling back down. (Whatever that means.) I will back up to where I last left off on our trip to Rebel Hill Ranch.

Spring Soccer
Well, Regan is playing soccer again. They did not have a coach, so a girlfriend of mine and myself volunteered. Neither one of us had ever played soccer, nor do we know anything about it. :) We are crazy! :) After sending out a desperate plea message to our team, one of our dads is actually the head coach and does the practices and games. Tara and I just assist with the administrative work. It is going well so far. The season is not over yet. :) We have actually only played one game due to all this crazy weather.

Pizza Night and Art Show
Kennedy's school had a family fun event one Friday night. They did a silent auction to raise money for a charity in our town that helps out moms and children who come from abused families. We had pizza and watched a slide show of the kids through the year. We also got to see the great artwork displayed that the kids had made. It was so fun! Kennedy loved showing off her art work.

We have moved!
Yes, again! People think we're crazy, and we are. We now own a home in our hometown. We are so excited to be in and be settled. It was a foreclosure so there are still some things to be done. But we're in! :)

Easter Parties and Easter

On Hold
The first weekend in April I quite working at the hospital. With Nathan working about 80 hours a week, me working full time, going to school, etc. it is just too much for us. So, I am back to being a stay at home mom, which I love! :) On that note, I will be postponing nursing school for a bit. I am finishing my Anatomy and Physiology class in a couple of weeks. It has been a very exciting class. I do know I still want to go into nursing. I do know that I don't want to work nights. :) I have even thought about being a school nurse so I can be with my kiddos. We'll see. I thought I had it all figured out...I guess God has different plans sometimes.

10.09.09
Besides this being Nathan's birthday, what significance is this date? Well, it is the day that I will be induced to deliver our 4th baby. :) We are 13 weeks today. Everything looks good. We have had several sonograms. We had our most recent one on Tuesday. The baby has all the arms, legs, fingers, and toes. The baby has all four chambers of the heart. The heartbeat is good. Just continue to pray for a healthy baby and a happy healthy outcome. :) The only bad thing is I get to give myself two shots a day for a blood clotting disorder I found out I had. Fun, fun, fun! I will gladly do it to have a new bundle of joy! Nathan has claimed that we aren't telling the sex of the baby. We'll see how well that works out....
That is all I have for now. It doesn't look like we've been so busy on paper--but we have! :) Until next time!

Rebel Hill Ranch

Last weekend we went "camping". When I say camping I mean we stayed in cabins and cooked out. :) Actually our cabin was a train. It was quite fun! We fished and fished and fished some more (never caught anything). We played games, fed the farm animals (elk, geese, horses, ducks), and just had a great time! Here are some pictures from our fun adventure:

Just Like Big Sister

Kennedy has two issues: brushing her teeth and brushing her hair. It is a screaming battle everyday. So, with the summer coming and lots of pool time we took care of it. :)

After:

**Someone asked me since she doesn't like brushing her teeth if I was going to have all her teeth pulled. It might come to that. :) Ha!

Cowgirls and Pony Rides

Right before spring break Kennedy's school had Western Day. They got to dress up "western" and they brought in some ponies for pony rides. Kennedy was SOOOOO excited to get to ride the pony. Here are some pictures:

Father Daughter Date Night/Kennedy Mommy Date Night

Last night our church had it's annual Father Daughter Date Night. This is the first year that Regan has been old enough to go. She got all fancied up by getting her hair done, getting a new dress and shoes, and getting her toenails painted. She was so excited to go! The date included dinner, a magic show, and pictures. Nathan and Regan said they had a great time!

So, since Nathan and Regan got to have a date Mommy and Kennedy got to have one too. We went to the good ol' Chuck E. Cheese (not the greatest place to be on a Friday night..MADNESS!) We had a great time!

One Year Down And A Lifetime To Go

It really doesn't seem like Carter was born one year ago today. Time has flown, yet it has stood still.

I want to thank everyone who sent flowers, cards, emails, text messages, and lifted us up in prayer today. We truly appreciate you loving us so much!

I just wanted to share some pictures tonight. I haven't shared these before because they are so sacred to us.

Thank you again for your love!

It Was Bound To Happen...

In the 5 1/2 years of Regan's life and the 3 1/2 years of Kennedy's life, neither of them have put things in their ears, in their mouths, or up their noses....until today. I was giving the girls their lunches on TV trays in the living room. I look over and Kennedy is DIGGING in her nose. I thought, "Well, she doesn't normally pick her nose. She must really have a booger." Then she started crying and saying it hurt. About that time I look up to see her Sonic cup with a hole in the side of it. I put everything down and asked her if she put a piece up her nose. She said yes. I tried to lay her back to look at it, but it was so far up there I couldn't see it. So, I decided to hold one nostril closed and hold her mouth closed and had her blow. It blew right out. Her nose was then bleeding so that's when she was so upset because of the blood. We are good now and she says she'll never do that again! Hopefully it will be at least 3 1/2 more years, and by that time surely she will have grown out of it! :)
