We had a dr. appt. today with a sonogram. He is still a boy! He is very active--yea!! Everything look really good. The sonographer says that he weighs (today) 3/4 of a pound. Such a little guy. :) We have come up with a name first and middle. Of course, we had to stick with a President's name, so his first name is Grant. For his middle name I wanted to use a "C" initial in honor of Carter. So, his name is: Grant Canon Purnell. (Maybe he'll be a professional baseball pitcher someday with the name Canon.) :) I go back in 4 weeks to do my diabetes testing and then I will go every 4 weeks for a while having a sono each month. Yea! Towards the end they will be monitoring me and the baby more and more. Everything is good. Just keep praying!

George!!!
Nathan and I were so blessed to be able to go see George Strait in concert on Saturday night at the new Cowboys Stadium. It was so amazing!! The stadium itself was incredible!
This is a picture of the roof opening. It is kind of hard to see since it was already dark outside.
And this is the man himself, GEORGE STRAIT!!!! :)Posted by The Purnell Family at 10:03 AM 0 comments

She's a FIRST GRADER!!!
Today was Regan's last day of kindergarten. I just want her to stay in Mrs. Payne's class forever. :) Since it was the last day the kids got to bring a board game that they wanted to play. Also, they had a picnic with hot dogs, chips, and drinks. It was so fun! They loved it! I was going to take a picture of her being walked to the car on her last day, but I was trying to hold my emotions together so much that I forgot about it. I think her teacher was trying to hold her emotions as well as she put Regan in the car. I told her teacher the other day that we just might have to stalk her the rest of her life. :) Ha!
We love Mrs. Payne-amazing woman, wife, mom, and TEACHER!!!

Funny Words
Kennedy is getting better at vocabulary, but somethings still aren't there yet. For example, one day I was sneezing continuously and she said, "Mom are you sneezing because of your allerjesus?" So cute. Yes, Jesus makes me sneeze. :) HA!
(There is another one that she says, but I can't remember right now. I'll post when I do remember.)

Awards Ceremony/Book Signing/Slideshow
Yesterday was a tough day, and I'm sure Thursday is going to be worse. Regan had her kindergarten awards ceremony. They all dressed in their Sunday best. The boys had on ties and the girls had on their beautiful dresses. We walked in to the cafeteria where the program was, and as we did I looked up on the screen to see my sweet Regan's face and the song that was playing was, "Let Them Be Little". I lost it right there! I couldn't hold it together. It just breaks my heart to think that she is growing so fast, and loving it! :) I know that's how it's supposed to be, but I want them all to stay little forever! :) So, after I composed myself the kids came in and sang songs and accepted their awards. (I am going to try to figure out how to upload video and slide show..we'll see if that happens of not.) Afterward, we got to go back to the classroom for refreshments and a book signing. Regan had made a book and published it. So, what else to do but sign it. She said that Kennedy was "Coocoo" in her book. I was 30. And Aunt Lindsay was 20!!! Yea right! It was such a great time, but I am so sad that it is coming to an end. Mrs. Payne has been the absolute best teacher in the entire world! Regan and I both had a breakdown last night because we don't want to leave Mrs. Payne. I am sure I will have another moment tomorrow when school is over and she is an official first grader!

Field Day
Regan had her Field Day last week. Her field day was only two hours long, which was probably pretty good in the heat and humidity. They had bounce the basket ball on your knee, tricycle race, tug of war, ball hop, three legged race, fire hydrant walk (cup with hole in it with water in it), snacks, and the egg in the spoon race. It was such a good time. Of course, Mrs. Payne attained a new kindergartner. :)

Last Day at Preschooler's Place
Well, Kennedy had her last day at our church's preschool. It was sad to leave them, but I am so excited that she will be at the school where Regan went to kindergarten this year (since we won't be at the same school for first grade). :) We will, however, see Ms. Brittney and Ms. Larie throughout the summer for camps and VBS. Yea!! Thanks for a great year!

Field Trip
I got to go on Regan's spring class field trip. We went to the local park to "continue their study of insects". :) I think it was more of a claim to get out of the school and let the kids have a great time for a few hours! So, we packed a lunch, the kids wore their camp t-shirts they made, I picked up some bubbles, coloring books, etc. to play with and we were off. It was such a good time. Here is a picture of my group: Regan and the Abbys. :)When we first go there everyone wanted to eat their lunch (at 10:30am). I told my group that we were going to have a to wait a little bit. So, we colored, played on the play ground, and swang in the tire swing. After lunch, we took a nature walk; although the girls took a nature run down the path.
After the field trip the kiddos loaded up in the bus. Little did they know, their field trip wasn't over. The teachers had the bus driver drive up to the water park and the kids got to run through the fountains and get their clothes soaking wet.
They LOVED it!!! I loved seeing their faces! Such a good day!

Soccer Awards Night/Hawaiian Falls Treat
Every year there is an awards celebration for the season. This spring LP rewarded the teams and their families to a night at a local water park. It was so fun, but freezing cold! That didn't stop Regan. She went right into the middle of the cold water and kept going back for more. Kennedy on the other hand, sat at the edge of the water with a towel wrapped around her. :) It was a great time! I don't really know if we'll go visit there again, not because it's a bad place, but I don't want to run into any of my former students in a bathing suit. :)
