Father Daughter Date Night/Kennedy Mommy Date Night

Last night our church had it's annual Father Daughter Date Night. This is the first year that Regan has been old enough to go. She got all fancied up by getting her hair done, getting a new dress and shoes, and getting her toenails painted. She was so excited to go! The date included dinner, a magic show, and pictures. Nathan and Regan said they had a great time!

So, since Nathan and Regan got to have a date Mommy and Kennedy got to have one too. We went to the good ol' Chuck E. Cheese (not the greatest place to be on a Friday night..MADNESS!) We had a great time!

One Year Down And A Lifetime To Go

It really doesn't seem like Carter was born one year ago today. Time has flown, yet it has stood still.

I want to thank everyone who sent flowers, cards, emails, text messages, and lifted us up in prayer today. We truly appreciate you loving us so much!

I just wanted to share some pictures tonight. I haven't shared these before because they are so sacred to us.

Thank you again for your love!

It Was Bound To Happen...

In the 5 1/2 years of Regan's life and the 3 1/2 years of Kennedy's life, neither of them have put things in their ears, in their mouths, or up their noses....until today. I was giving the girls their lunches on TV trays in the living room. I look over and Kennedy is DIGGING in her nose. I thought, "Well, she doesn't normally pick her nose. She must really have a booger." Then she started crying and saying it hurt. About that time I look up to see her Sonic cup with a hole in the side of it. I put everything down and asked her if she put a piece up her nose. She said yes. I tried to lay her back to look at it, but it was so far up there I couldn't see it. So, I decided to hold one nostril closed and hold her mouth closed and had her blow. It blew right out. Her nose was then bleeding so that's when she was so upset because of the blood. We are good now and she says she'll never do that again! Hopefully it will be at least 3 1/2 more years, and by that time surely she will have grown out of it! :)

Update on Dentist Appointment

Well, the appointment was good. No cavities for either girl. Yeah!!! Here are some pictures of Kennedy's first visit. It was a success!

Forclosure

Nathan got a phone call yesterday saying that our house that we are renting is going into forclosure status! We had some warning signs when I would come home and there would be a note on the door to call a home finance company. We reported it to the company we rent from, who in turn called owners. The owners said that they were trying to refinance the hosues that they had bought. Yea right!! The good news is that Nathan and I have put a contract on a house. We are supposed to close on March 9th. Also, we won't have to pay March rent AND we get all of our deposit money back!! Praise Jesus!! Keep praying everything continues to go smoothly! (Always something!)

98.5

That is the grade I made on my anatomy and physiology test on Tuesday night. Granted it was out of 116 points, but an A is an A! Yea!!! :)

Valentine Parties

Kennedy had her valentine party on Tuesday. They had cupcakes and cookies. They each decorated a shoe box so their friends could put treats in them. So cute!

Regan had her valentine party today. Her party was actually a pajama and pancake party. I was in charge of the 23 pancakes! No, I did not make them. I made a quick stop into IHOP. :) They got to decorate their pancakes with whip cream and sprinkles and then add syrup. What a sugar high Mrs. P has to deal with!

We are off to the dentist this afternoon. Wish us luck. Kennedy has never been & HATES to brush her teeth. I'll give the report when I return.

Man of La Mancha

My mom is the theatre director at the high school. It is really cool because we get to go see all the shows. Well, Regan and I got to go last night. It was AWESOME!!! My mom is very talented!! If you are in town, get tickets and go see it. It runs tonight, tomorrow afternoon, tomorrow night, and Sunday afternoon.

Starfish of the Week

Kennedy was "Starfish of the Week" this week. She was so excited!! She had been dying to do it since her sister was student of the week a few weeks ago. She had been talking about it so much that the teachers finally gave in. (They go in alphabetical order so it ended up being her turn...so they tell me.) :) She got to take her favorite book and toy to school. She also got to be the line leader. She was so proud!

M.V.P.

Regan is M.V.P. "Most Valuable Person" (student of the week) this week. What does that mean? Well, she got to make a poster telling all about her.
Then, today she gets to bring home the class mascot, Hank the Husky. He will be spending two nights with the family. We are going to record his adventures on the class blog. Then, on Friday, she can take something for show and tell. Plus, she gets to sit at the M.V.P. desk, run errands for Mrs. P, be the line leader, pass out papers, etc. Regan is so excited!! (Now Kennedy wants to know when it's her turn at her school.)
