I haven't forgot

I haven't forgot about blogging...at all! Here are several reasons I haven't blogged:

1. Because there is A LOT going on! I know everyone has a lot going on, but I am just giving you my reasons. :)

2. Because my computer is trashed!!! It won't even work. I am typing this from my mom's computer. If I get online it's through my phone. I don't want to update my blog by phone...major pain in the hiney! And I can't update pictures from my phone.

So, those are all of my reasons. That's all I've got. :)

I will be back soon to show you what has been happening in my life.....a whole lot!!

Now I remember why...

****I am trying to change my background, but it is not working for me right now. I'll try to do that after I get the blog posted (since I know a few of you are quite tired of no updates). :) ****

Now I remember why I haven't updated my blog in AGES!!! I put Grant down for his normal two hour nap this morning and by the time I got on the computer ready to type he was up. Now he is at my feet and the girls have been in here 50,000 times. So, this is going to be an all day project I'm afraid. So, here we go.

Easter
We did the usual: went to church, had lunch, had an Easter egg hunt, and took a lot of pictures!! :)

Zoo
Kennedy's field trip this year was to the Dallas Zoo. She was SOOOOO excited to go on the school bus. She thinks she is such a big kid when she does this. :)

Girls' Weekend
My good friends from college and I get together every year...we try to anyway. :) This spring we met up in Galveston for some much needed R&R. Good times! Good times!

Tooth
Kennedy had to get a crown. :( BOO!! So, when she was in there there they went ahead and pulled her front tooth that she had hit on the hardwood floor. I was really worried she would be upset when she came out of sedation, but she was pumped for the tooth fairy to come!

Dallas World Aquarium
Regan's field trip was to the Dallas World Aquarium. If you have never been, I recommend you go. It was so cool!!

Big Boy Haircut
Grant got his first big boy haircut. We took him to the place that Nathan has gotten his hair cut since he was a little boy. He loved it! He was so good. He likes the tickle of the razor. He was done by the time they got to the top of his head, but for the most part was excellent!!

Minute To Win It
Our Sunday school class had a Minute To Win It 80's party! It was the best time I'd had in a LONG time! We dressd in our coolest 80's clothes and played the game Minute To Win It. That game is not as easy as it looks! Here are some pictures of the beautiful Purnells. Ha!

ISR
Grant started swim lessons in May. They are not typical swim lessons. It is called Infant Swim Resource Self-Rescue. It taught him how to float in the water if he fell in. We thought that this would be a great idea since we have a pool. He is now finished with the lessons besides the follow ups he'll do. I will try to post the video, but I don't know if I'll be successful.

Field Day
The girls had field day at the end of May. I really think it was the hotest day the whole year that day! It was miserable, but they had a great time! Momma, Grant, and Daddy didn't stay long at either one. :( (Does that make me a bad parent?)

2nd Annual Splash Day!
Last year we started a tradition of having a splash day for Memorial day. Really just another chance to have everyone get together and swim. Not like we don't do that enough, but why not call it something fun!

Pre-K Graduation
Well, Kennedy had her Pre-K graduation. I cannot belive that she will be in kindergarten next year!! At her graduation they sang Chicka-Chicka-Boom-Boom. Kennedy was the letter "I". It was precious!! She got an award at graduation. Her award was "Stellar Storyteller". Hmm, I think that is very fitting! There are no telling what kind of stories Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Gideon heard.

Regan's Award Ceremony
Regan had a great award ceremony as well. She received SEVERAL awards. One award was the "A" Honor Roll. We are so very proud of her. This year they because authors. They wrote and illustrated their own book. After the process the books were printed and bound. Her book is awesome! I can't believe she'll be in SECOND GRADE!! Time is flying by!

Last Day of School
I was very sad that this was my girls last day with their AMAZING teachers! I grow so attached to them. I feel like they are family!

VBS
This VBS I did something a little different. I worked at a station called Chadder's! I LOVED it! We got to dress up like pirates since the theme was High Seas Adventure.

Camp
Regan had her first camp where she got to spend the night away. I was very nervous about this, but felt more confident when I found out there was a mom that I knew that would be in her cabin. Plus, her counselor was awesome! She had a great time! They went to Denton to Camp Compass and spent TWO nights there! I was so glad to see her when she came home (even though she was VERY grumpy from no sleep).

Shenaniganz
So, while Sister was at camp I had to make my sweet Kennedy feel special. So, Friday night we went to Shenaniganz and she played some games. One game she played she ended up with over 200 tickets!! WOW! Her prize was to get a Tootsie Roll Piggy Bank. Not sucha good choice sine it was filled with Tootsie Rolls. (Remember the crown...)

Wicked
The musical Wicked came to Dallas Fair Park. I got a group of girls together for a Girls' Night Out! We went to Matt's Ranchero and then went and saw Wicked. It was the best musical I have ever seen!!!!! AMAZING!!! If you ever get the chance to go see it, no matter how much the tickets are, go see it! It is so worth it!

Grant
Let me update on my sweet Grant. He is a blessing!! He will be 9 months old next week (July 9th). He weighs almost 16lbs. He is crawling EVERYWHERE!! And he is starting to pull up on everything!! It won't be long and he'll be walking. He is eating everything we eat. He will still do baby food, but prefers to feed himself. One of the next pictures is of Kennedy reading to Grant while I was working on the blog and then there is a picture of Grant. I did the best I could. He's ready to eat and didn't have a good nap this morning. So, that's all he'd give me. :)

Well, that is the run down since March. Sorry it was a crummy rundown, but that's all I can do with three children all around me being insane!

Spring Break Rundown...

We had a very low key spring break this year. When I say low key that's exactly what I mean. It even made my laundry load on Monday less (probably because we were mainly in pjs). :)

Monday:
the usual...LAUNDRY day! :) Regan did have a friend spend the night and they made brownies in the Easy Bake Oven. Such an exciting evening! :)
Tuesday:
Nathan dropped the dogs off at the groomers. We (the girls and little man) took our time getting up and around. After we were all dressed and ready to go (around 1:00 or so) we headed to the library to check out some books and movies. Then, we headed over to McDonald's to grab some lunch and eat it on the way to pick up the dogs from the groomers. Then, we came home and relaxed until we went to gymnastics.

(I told you it was low key! ;))

Wedensday:
Oh! The FUN day! We were up bright and early so we could be at the doctor's office at 8:00am for our first appointment! Yay!! All three kiddos had to get shots. The girls had to finish a series and little man had to get his 4 month check up (a month late). Then, if that wasn't fun enough, ALL 5 of us took ALL 3 dogs to the vet for their shots! It was quite a circus. The ladies just laughed along with us. That night we took dinner to a friend who had just had a baby.
On a side note when we got up we all had to dress in green since it was St. Patrick's Day. Here is Nathan's attire: his green cowboy boots, green leafed swim trunks, and a green polo style shirt tucked in to his swim trunks. (The picture is not working. I'll keep trying because you have to see it!) No, he did not wear that, but he did give us a good laugh. :)

Thursday:
We were up again early for another fun morning at a doctor's office. This time it was the DENTIST!! Kennedy kept telling me she was going to be "brathe" (a.k.a. brave). :) She did very good. We'll see how she does when I take her back in May to have a cavity filled, a crown put on, and a possible tooth extraction! (She busted her front tooth a month or so ago on the hardwood floors. When I say busted, I mean when she hit the floor it bent backwards toward her throat. So, they might have to pull it.) Then we headed to a friends' house to play.
Friday:
Each of the girls had a play date. Then, we ran errands. Nathan came home, we cooked out, and had several games of ping pong. (Yes, we now own a ping pong table.) :)
Saturday:
You know I thought that Wednesday, the day with all kids and all dogs getting shots was bad, but it was NOTHING compared to this day. Let me just say a few words....Chuck E. Cheese birthday party from 2-4; weather-COLD/windy. Need I say anything else!!!
Now we are back in the swing of things...almost. :) It's taking us a while to get going. :)
**A quick note....I will find out in the next few weeks if I got into nursing school or not. I am so excited! They said they would be mailing out letters by the end of the month...well, that's next week. So, y'all just say some prayers that God will will be done. I am okay with it either way.

Rollin', rolllin', rollin'...and more!

Grant is now 5 months old! Crazy, I know!! His personality shines more and more everyday! I love it! So, here is what he is doing:

He has moved on from cereal to solid baby food. Today he tried green beans and I think he liked them! :)
He is now out of the baby bathtub and in the big bathtub with a chair for support. He is rolling over!! If you lie him on his back and look at something the second you look back he has already rolled over. He gets mad because he can't go anywhere. I am sure that crawling will be coming soon! :)

He talks and loves to smile. He gets bashful. It's so funny!
He tries grabbing for everything!! If he is in your arms and you are carrying something, he will hold on to it and be so content. It is so funny looking!

Time if flying by! If only I could find a way to freeze it!

Pre-K Rodeo

Kennedy's Pre-K class had been studying about Texas and the rodeo. So, on Friday (a few Fridays ago--I'm behind) they all dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls for their rodeo. (Kennedy has a real cute bandanna dress but chose to wear a zebra outfit instead.) Her cowgirl style! :) Ha!

They had their rodeo activities: horseshoes, potato sack races, horse races (using stick horses), "roping" the bull (throwing a hula hoop around its horns), and place the star on Rowdy the Rodeo Rat. After all the hard work of the rodeo they got to relax with a drink and some trail mix. :) Such a prefect rodeo!
