We had a very low key spring break this year. When I say low key that's exactly what I mean. It even made my laundry load on Monday less (probably because we were mainly in pjs). :)

Pre-K Rodeo
Kennedy's Pre-K class had been studying about Texas and the rodeo. So, on Friday (a few Fridays ago--I'm behind) they all dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls for their rodeo. (Kennedy has a real cute bandanna dress but chose to wear a zebra outfit instead.) Her cowgirl style! :) Ha!

Winter Jam
We saw that Winter Jam was coming to Dallas and knew that we had to go. We went to the Winter Jam in Little Rock, and knew it would be a blast. So, I got a sitter for Grant and we took the girls. We met up with our Life Group (a.k.a. ABF...a.k.a. Sunday School). :) Third Day was the big act of the night. By the time they came on (about 10pm) everyone was exhausted so we only stayed for a few songs and then left. It was a great time though! Regan and Hannah
The girls jamming out with Teonna! :)
Gavin & Amy (baby Parker is in the belly) :)

2 years
Today Carter would be two years old. Crazy, I know. Even though it has been two years, it seems like just yesterday. I miss my sweet baby boy like crazy! I wonder what he would look like, what he would be saying, how skinny I would be from chasing him around. Ha! :)

Where do I begin?
How about from where I left off!

That same day Regan had her Penguin Parade. They had been researching penguins for the last few weeks. They made a power point and did lots of great activities for/about penguins. On the last day all they 1st grade classes dressed as the penguin they researched and marched through the halls of the school. It was so neat!!Posted by The Purnell Family at 2:04 PM 2 comments
I will return someday soon.
After having my computer for seven good years, it is finally in its last stages of life. :( Hence the reason I have not been blogging. I will try to blog sometime this week and catch everyone up on what all is going on with us. So, check back toward the end of the week for the latest Purnell updates. :)
Have a good week!!

My Reindeer
We had our first Christmas (of many) at Nathan's aunt's house this weekend. They decorated cookies, played, opened presents, and got to wear some cool reindeer antlers. Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Fun!!!
A couple of Saturdays ago, Nana (Nathan's mom) took the girls to get their Christmas presents. She took them to the American Girl store. If you have a daughter, I recommend you going. It was so cool! Overwhelming, but sooooo cool!! The girls got to pick out a doll for Nana to take home and wrap for Christmas. Regan picked out Felicity. Kennedy's doll that she wanted was retired (Samantha), so she picked out a baby. Then, we headed off for lunch at the Olive Garden. It was a great day with the girls (and little man). :) Friday was the girls last day of school before the Christmas break. They celebrated the day with "Holiday" Parties. Here are just a few pictures of the great time that each of them had.
Kennedy's class did a book exchange. Kennedy ended up with "If You Take a Mouse to the Movies". (For all of you reading this saying that the title needs to be underlined instead of in quotes, I know this. I don't have that option on this screen.)
Kennedy decorating her gingerbread house. She ate more candy than she put on the house. :)
After all of the fun holiday parties at school we headed off to go to the Gaylord to see the Grinch Ice Sculptor. After the 3 hour trip, that should have only been 45 minutes, we paid an arm and a leg to get the girls in to see the Grinch and then go look at the sculptors. They had a blast.
